Toshiba AS1 Resin


The AS1 is a new generation resin developed to meet the needs of applications requiring excellent mechanical and solvent resistance.

The AS1 is compatible with most synthetic materials — PVC, PET and PP — and some matt and high gloss coated papers. It will withstand temperatures of up to 180° C and has blackness levels of 1.8 ODR.

UL recognised — subject to matching with the approriate substrate — and has BGA approval for direct food contact.

In Crockmeter tests printing is perfectly visible after 200 runs (at a pressure of 680 g/cm² load). The AS1 also offers the very best in print-head protection as with all Toshiba approved ribbon products.
