Toshiba AS1 Resin

Toshiba AS1 Resin

The AS1 is a new generation resin developed to meet the needs of applications requiring excellent mechanical and solvent resistance.

The AS1 is compatible with most synthetic materials—PVC, PET and PP—and some matt and high gloss coated papers. It will withstand temperatures of up to 180ºC and has blackness levels of 1.8 ODR.

UL recognised—subject to matching with the approriate substrate—and has BGA approval for direct food contact.

In Crockmeter tests printing is perfectly visible after 200 runs (at a pressure of 680 g/cm² load). The AS1 also offers the very best in print-head protection as with all Toshiba approved ribbon products.

Characteristics

  • Outstanding scratch and solvent resistance.
  • Multi-receptor compatibility and sensitivity.
  • Good resistance to high temperatures.
  • Excellent print quality.
