Toshiba - Toshiba Printer Warranty

Toshiba’s product warranties are limited warranties that guarantee that the product is free from defects in materials and workmanship. The duration of any warranty will depend on the individual model, but in all cases the warranty starts from when the product was installed.

Warranty for industrial printer models

All industrial models of Toshiba printer purchased in the UK come with an extended warranty. If the printer develops a fault within three months following installation, any onsite service will have the engineer call out fee and labour charges waived. If the printer develops a fault after three months, parts will still be covered by the warranty; however the engineer call out fee and labour will be chargeable. Toshiba B-EX4 extended extended warranty

With the Toshiba B-EX4 / B-EX6 printer models it possible to extend the extended warranty(!) from a one-year warranty to a three-year warranty.

Warranty for other printer models

Other models of Toshiba printer purchased in the UK come with a one year limited warranty. These models of printer have no onsite warranty period.

Warranty for label rewinders

Label rewinders purchased in the UK come with a five year limited warranty. These models have no onsite warranty period.

Thermal print head warranty

All models of Toshiba printer have a separate warranty for the thermal head. For more information see Toshiba print head warranty.

Servicing printers during and after the warranty period

Toshiba provide several service options to provide maintenance for printers during and after the warranty period. This includes onsite servicing, workshop servicing and industrial printer models can be placed under a service contract.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The warranty does not cover the supply of consumables such as thermal print heads, platen rollers, thermal transfer ribbons, print head cleaners, label stocks, memory cards or batteries.
  2. The warranty does not cover the use of the equipment with any materials or supplies that have not been approved by Toshiba.
  3. The warranty does not cover cosmetic damage such as scratches and dents, scratched, faded or discoloured keycaps, covers or plastics.
  4. The warranty does not apply if the equipment is kept or used an environment that does not comply with the specifications of the equipment.
  5. The warranty does not cover any service call due to; damage caused by accident, misuse, or negligence; inadequate maintenance; operator error; label jam; software errors; fire, theft or break in.
  6. The warranty does not apply if any person, other than a person authorised by Toshiba, undertakes any repair, adjustment or modification of the equipment.
  7. The warranty does not cover failure of the equipment due to incorrect software set-up.
  8. The warranty does not cover external software or third party hardware.
  9. The warranty does not cover the running of the machine outside of the specifications of the equipment.
  10. The warranty does not cover the modification of the equipment.


How to request a repair

All requests for an on-site call out or a return to base repair are administered by Progressive ID Ltd.

When booking please state the following:

  • Your name, company and contact number
  • Serial number(s) for the printer(s)
  • Brief details of the fault
