
Is a general purpose Flat Head ribbon particularly adapted to standard label printing. The ink formulation provides excellent printing quality on picket barcodes, very small text, large characters and logos, at a blackness above 2.1 ODR.
The ribbon structure allows printing on a wide variety of substrates both coated and uncoated and vellums/matts in particular, this versatility ensures that the ribbon is totally suitable for the standard labelling market incorporating areas such as retail tags, box labelling, inventory control stock. Printing is also possible onto various synthetics but should be suitably tested prior to adoption.
The printed ink offers heat resistance up to 60°C (140°F). These characteristics remain effective at speeds up to 300 mm/s (12 ips) and with 200, 300 and 600 DPI printheads.
AWR 470 features Armor’s outstanding back coat technology, ensuring excellent printhead protection preventing clogging and static build-up. This high performance wax grade is a fantastic all rounder suitable for a great many applications and it is certified safe for direct contact with food.
At a price that will compete on all levels, the AWR 470 formulation will prove successful on most flat head printers in the current market place. Available both inside and outside wound it also boasts a good selection of colours too!
